Hi! I'm Emily. I'm glad you're here. I was born and raised in Denver, CO, and became interested in yoga, meditation, pranayama, and alternative medicine following two spinal injuries and two autoimmune disease diagnoses that left me using a walker after 24 surgeries. I credit yoga, Ayurveda, alternative medicine, and a healthy lifestyle for helping to heal autoimmune diseases and giving me the ability to live an active lifestyle. I have been an adjunct professor for over a decade and love teaching Sociology and Professionalism. My professional interests revolve around the Sociology of Complementary and Alternative Medicine. I am also a military spouse and a mother of two, and love to spend time with my family, go paddleboarding, and hike. I am a 300-hr certified Ayurvedic Wellness Coach and an RYT 200 Certified Yoga Instructor. I strongly believe that everyone has an innate ability to heal themselves and I am passionate about empowering others on their own wellness journey. I firmly believe that each person's wellness journey is unique and my empowered coaching techniques and mindfulness based-practices intend to connect you with your higher self so you step into your fullest potential.
I am an RYT200 Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher and a 300-hour certified Ayurvedic Wellness Coach (The Shakti School). I hold a Master's degree (Arizona State University) specializing in Medical Sociology. And I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology specializing in Gender Studies (University of Colorado). I am a proud graduate of the Wild Woman Project Circle Leader Training.
